Hi Amanda:
Next week might be a bit early for full fall colors. More than likely just the tips of the trees will be turning. We've had a lot of rain this spring, so colour should be peak at end of Sept/early Oct.

Color or not, Vermont is beautiful this time of year. I've been all over Vermont, what part are your friends going to? They should plan to dress in layers as it could be warm in morning, get cooler as the sun goes down, which is about 6:30pm nowadays.
