Residents or visitors to the Mid-Atlantic area have many choices when it comes to romantic places for marriage proposals.

The marriage proposal should be special and one that will be remembered for a lifetime. Valentine's Day has always been a favorite time for proposals; nonetheless, this year it is even more so as the holiday falls on a Saturday.

Proposing in the Mid-Atlantic offers many opportunities for both unique and romantic proposals.

Marriage Proposals at Historical/Educational Sites in the Mid-Atlantic

The Mid-Atlantic is home to many of the most visited historical/educational sites. These landmarks can make for both a romantic and memorable proposal. Some places to consider include:

  • The Reflecting Pool or one of the monuments (i.e. the Lincoln Memorial or Washington Monument) at the National Mall in Washington, D.C.
  • The Liberty Bell in Philadephia.
